Kieran loves his cousins. Talks about playing with them all the time. Today, at daycare, I learned he has another cousin.
Miss Kali (the director) called me to her office after I dropped him off this morning to tell me that Imani (her granddaughter) told her that Kieran was her cousin. Imani and Kieran have been in the same rooms for the past two years. They play together like brother and sister (and fight that way too), so when Imani was listing her cousins with Miss Kali she said "... and Kieran." Miss Kali said "Kieran is a friend from school."
"And my cousin." replied Imani.
Miss Kali noted that when a child is that insistent, there's little you can do to change their mind. I was told that we're going to have to come to their housewarming - since we're family now and all.
